A new approach to energy, diet and health
The All-Day Energy Diet offers a genuinely fresh take on what a healthy diet entails. The book is full of wisdom that is often counter-intuitive. For example, digestion requires a great deal of energy, and so paradoxically you can feel better and more energetic by eating less.
The book also puts a strong emphasis on the quality of foods you eat, and recommends striving for 75% raw. It also focuses on the importance of alkaline vs acidic foods. Most of the foods we eat, especially those with lots of protein, fat and sugar, are highly acidic. By eating more alkaline foods like vegetables, you can bring things into balance. Other ideas include the importance of liquid, and even adding a pinch of sea salt for extra sodium, and more energy.
The book also includes a 7-day «energy reset» section that includes a complete meal plan with recipes for every meal each day. There are also sections on exercise and even how to organize your daily life for added energy.
This book is focused primarily on general health and energy, rather than weight loss. If you are interested in losing weight, I would also recommend, The Protein Express Diet: Rapid Weight Loss with a Simplified Low Carb, High Protein Diet which has a weight loss plan that has been very effective for me, and is in many was similar in spirit to The All Day Energy Diet, but puts more emphasis on protein.
Overall, this is a great book with a fresh perspective that can help you overcome the fatigue that plagues so many of us.

I don’t give many five star reviews… but this book, even as a wellness doctor, was really, really good
I’m a wellness doctor who eats up health content like a fat kid does skittles. This is the single best book I’ve ever read on supercharging your energy… it’s backed by solid science and the strategies in the book will not just help you boost energy, but I’ve been using similar strategies to help my clients burn fat off their bodies… So it’s much more than an energy book… you will boost your energy but a nice side effect is that you’ll probably be helping yourself prevent disease and feel much more confident as a human being.
I don’t give many five star reviews on amazon… honestly usually very critical, but this book deserves it. I can’t imagine how much time he’s put into it, but there were some things that were eye opening even for me. It’s easy to read and I’ve already sent an email out to my patients to pick it up as well… Awesome book!

A Simple and Profound Read – For the health novice just as much as it is for the health expert
This is definitely a great «how to» book with lots of simple tips and principles that you can begin implementing immediately to start seeing quick improvements in your health!
I think this book is just as valuable to the health novice as it is to the health expert, which is a testament to the writing style of Yuri Elkaim.
Will certainly be keeping this book on my book shelf for future reads!!
